1912
The origins
Our roots go back over 100 years.
We were founded as Ironsides Machining & Welding in 1912, in a Blacksmith’s shop in Chilliwack, BC Canada.
1984
Providing CNG systems worldwide
In 1984, we started producing CNG handling solutions, from generation to distribution. Since then, we have delivered effective solutions, quality-engineered products, proven technology, and superior customer service in over 30 countries.
2004
opening the first office in South America
We opened an office in Barranquilla, Colombia, serving the South America region with equipment, parts, technical assistance and localized assembly of gas storage and dispensers.
2010
joining Clean Energy Fuels Corp
We joined Clean Energy Fuels Corp, which became the largest provider of natural gas compression and refilling solutions in North America and the global leader in the natural gas distribution market.
2011
we open a service center in Peru
We solidified our commitment to the South American market by establishing a dedicated service center in Peru. This initiative not only strengthened our regional presence but also allowed us to provide increased support and tailored solutions, ensuring accessibility and reliability for our clients across South America.
2017
a new beginning
We merge with SAFE S.p.A, joining the Landi Renzo Group, as SAFE&IMW. IMW now has a new owner.
